Club Manager

Maartje Scheepstra fulfils the role of club manager. She has been working in Amsterdam Zuidoost for over 8 years to get residents enthusiastic about hockey, to introduce them to the sport, but also to teach them all the life skills that go with club life.

As a pedagogical club manager, Maartje is mainly concerned with making the club run in practice by: coordinating training sessions, creating and organizing an annual program, pedagogical training plan, providing training, building a training framework, organizing membership recruitment activities, competition supervision, contact with children and parents, schools, the municipality, organizations such as the youth fund Sport & Cultuur and other stakeholders.

As a former international hockey player, Maartje knows better than anyone how essential sport and exercise are for the development of a child.

Dealing with winning and losing, working together, accepting your own and each other's mistakes, but above all cheering together and celebrating goals!

Every child deserves the chance.

As Pedagogical Association Manager, Maartje not only coordinates the hockey technical matters, but also focuses on the broader development of the child.
